Ex.t at Milan Design Week 2017
For this edition of Design Week in Milan Ex.t is taking part at Fuorisalone from 4th to 9th April. At Ex.t showroom in the heart of Milan design district we are showcasing some new products from 2017 collection. A special edition of Frame furniture system by Norm Architects and a new cabinet to complete Plateau collection by Sebastian Herkner are starring along with a brand new line of mirrors designed by English designer Samuel
Wilkinson and a wall modular system by Ex.t’s latest entry Florence based duo Deferrari+Modesti.
Float & Gravity
The very first collaboration for Ex.t with London based designer Samuel Wilkinson, is unveiling a line of bathroom mirrors inspired by universal space and the force of gravity. Like two planets in Space an opal glass sphere is buoyant along a semicircular marble shelf over the Float mirror whilst the framed double mirrors of Gravity attract each other thanks to a fascinating game of magnifying forces. The designs feature a sophisticated simplicity which makes
the mirrors versatile & unique accessories for the bathroom and beyond.
Frame System special edition
The Frame System launched last year has a surprise in store for 2017 presenting an exclusive edition of the popular collection. Smoked oak and Navona travertine are the features chosen by Norm.Architects to bring warmness & a hearty feeling to the collection. Inspired by bathroom consoles from industrial interiors and mid 20th century Danish design furniture, Frame is a light, airy set of bathroom furniture which can evolve along with your home whilst decorating many different living spaces. Featuring a modular system of consoles and furniture embodying a Nordic attitude with the Italian core of traditional craftsmanship, conceived for a new market which is more and more asking
for versatile bathroom furniture.
Plateau Cabinet
An elegant and functional cabinet with a focus on glass textures, designed by Sebastian Herkner to enrich the Plateau collection which was launched at Salone del Mobile in 2016. Textured coloured glass is combined to compliment in a sophisticated way the inner structure in natural ash wood and the solid surfaces made from the LivingTec® material featured in Ex.t’s washbasins. Plateau cabinet will be soon available in different dimensions to
complete the entire collection.
Brac wall modular system
Latest new entry for Ex.t, Florence based studio Deferrari+Modesti has designed a flexible furniture system made of wall mounted containers. The tapering of frame and shelves gives aesthetic lightness to the design whilst the varnished ash provides strength to the piece. Featuring three essential and elegant modules that can be set together in
multiple ways, Brac is an ace solution for the bathroom as well as for many residential or working spaces.
